It is no secret that dieting is not easy! How do you stick with it?

The real question is: How do you spoil yourself while on Keto? Because, let us be honest, no matter the diet you are on food should always be fun!! Eating just to survive sounds lame!

This is how I spoil myself:

I know what you are thinking… But Speedo Dude, we are not made of money! And I say neither am I but Sashimi is something that I am willing to spend my hard earned dollars on! Especially since my girlfriend demands it of me 😜!

How to Pan Fry a Chicken Breast

Better yet, the quick answer to the question of how long to pan fry a chicken breast (some people don’t want recipes, they just want an answer) is…

Medium heat for about 10 minutes without flipping it. Then flip it and lower the heat for 10 more minutes. Let it sit for 5 minutes! It is that simple. Because we are keto, use butter in the pan to cook!

Some people say flatten it, I prefer not to, mostly because I don’t like the extra work involved, but also because I like a thick, juicy chicken breast.

As for an actual recipe, I am not a professional… I rub the chicken with a little olive oil and some spices and such. These are my preferred spices:

Notice that 0 carb label!!! That’s what we care about with Keto.

I also like a big salad with my Keto meals as you can see in the pictures (

also I am unpracticed at taking pictures of food, I will get better). It is a good way to fillnup with no carbs. I use usually a ranch type dressing because (once again, keto is awesome) fat is fine and they usually have low carbs!

I lost 20 pounds in the last year. It was a sad fact that I had to face when I realized I was a fat guy. I weighed 232 lbs and I was only 5’8″. To be honest I still am only 5’8″ but at least I am no longer 232 lbs.

About a year ago I had the above revelation and I knew it was time to stop slipping down this slippery slope! So I researched, and mostly just talked to my cousin who is a guru of health and fitness (Julia Blake on Instagram), and decided to try this thing called the Keto Diet. Essentially it is a low carb ( more like NO carb), medium protein, high fat diet.

“High fat?” You might ask. “How can anyone lose fat on a high fat diet???”

The answer is very carefully and with a lot of discipline!

Now, as you can see from the above picture, I was not very disciplined and to be honest, I still am not the most disciplined person you have ever met. The 20+ pounds I lost in the last year mostly happened in about 2 months of sheer willpower. The rest of the year I fluctuated +/- 5 to 10 pounds or so because I lost the discipline for consistency.

Anyway, I am back in the Keto diet and am trying to maintain that discipline. This website will help catologue my journey to become a healthy individual once again. I hope it either entertains, encourages and/or inspires you to do the same.

I have many people I love in this world. I come from a family of short round people with heart problems on both sides. It scares me to be honest. I know how easy it is to slip! This is my journey to better myself, not only to increase my quality of life, but to be the best version of myself so that I can give myself completely to those in my life!
